Born and raised in the Los Angeles area, Dr. Jeffrey Chen earned his B.S. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the University of California, San Diego. Inspired by his volunteer work at the UCSD student-run dental clinics and mission trips to Mexico, Dr. Chen pursued his dental education at the University of the Pacific, graduating in 2017.

Dr. Chen believes in a conservative approach to dentistry, prioritizing lasting solutions over temporary fixes to ensure long-term oral health. He brings a broad range of experience including cosmetic dentistry, root canals, surgical and wisdom teeth extractions, bone grafting, and implant placement. Dr. Chen is committed to continuing education and has completed multiple live surgery programs. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and San Francisco Dental Society.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Dr. Chen enjoys traveling with his wife, photography, camping, and is a terrible golfer. He roots for the LA Chargers and Lakers (sorry!).

Dr. Jonathan Mai grew up in Southern California and attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology. During his final year of college, he shadowed dentists and worked as a Dental Assistant in Santa Monica. Finding such joy in working with patients and learning about the innovations of dentistry, he went on to attend the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. 

Dr. Mai has a minimally invasive approach to dentistry, emphasizing preventive care for his patients. With a strong focus on patient comfort and education, he strives to create a positive and stress-free dental experience. Dr. Mai has completed training for Implant and Bone Graft techniques with Restored Smiles and the Cando Implant Forum and is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Southern Alameda County Dental Society.

In his free time, Dr. Mai enjoys backpacking, playing video games, and staying active through resistance training, golfing, and running. At home, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two cats, Quistis and Adonis.
